About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Back-end Development Team Leader to guide a team of back-end engineers building the core services that power our platform. You will combine hands-on technical leadership with people management, ensuring the team ships reliable, scalable, and secure systems while growing as engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and grow a team of back-end engineers; set clear goals and support individual development plans.

• Own the architecture and quality of back-end services, including APIs, databases, and integrations.

• Plan and prioritize the team's backlog in partnership with product management, ensuring predictable delivery.

• Drive code review standards, testing practices, and CI/CD discipline across the team.

• Work closely with front-end, QA, DevOps, and architecture teams to deliver end-to-end features.

• Participate in and lead resolution of production incidents affecting back-end systems.

• Partner with Talent Acquisition to interview and onboard new back-end engineers.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of back-end software engineering experience, with 1-2+ years in a team lead or senior technical role.

• Strong proficiency in at least one back-end language/framework (e.g. Node.js, Java, Python, .NET, Go).

• Solid understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases, caching, and API design.

• Experience with microservices, message queues, and distributed systems.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Strong communication and mentoring skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience in iGaming, fintech, or high-traffic consumer technology environments is a plus.

• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices is a plus.

• Experience working with distributed or globally located engineering teams is a plus.
