About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Automation QA Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust automated test frameworks that ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. You will work closely with development and product teams to embed automation throughout the software delivery pipeline, reducing regression risk and increasing release velocity.
Key Responsibilities
Test Automation - Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for functional, regression, API, and performance testing across web and mobile platforms.
Framework Development - Build and improve test automation frameworks using modern tools and best practices, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
CI/CD Integration - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions (primary), with familiarity in Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools considered a plus, to enable continuous testing and rapid feedback.
API Testing - Develop and execute automated API tests using tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
Performance Testing - Design and run load and performance tests using k6 (primary), with familiarity in JMeter, Gatling, or similar tools considered a plus.
Defect Management - Identify, document, and track defects in Jira, work with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
Process Improvement - Champion best practices in test automation, contribute to QA strategy, and mentor team members on automation tooling and methodology.
Qualifications & Experience
3+ years of hands-on experience in test automation engineering.
Proficiency in at least one programming language for automation, with JavaScript/TypeScript as the primary language. Experience with Python, Java, or C# is considered a plus.
Hands-on experience with Playwright as the primary automation framework. Familiarity with Selenium, Cypress, or Appium is considered a plus for web and mobile testing.
Strong understanding of API testing and experience with REST/GraphQL APIs.
Experience integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines, with GitHub Actions as the primary platform. Familiarity with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools is considered a plus.
Familiarity with performance and load testing tools, with k6 as the primary tool. Experience with JMeter, Gatling, or similar tools is considered a plus.
Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and Agile practices.
Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Zephyr, or TestRail.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript/JavaScript.
Experience working with AI-assisted development tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms is highly desirable.
Experience testing gaming platforms, high-traffic applications, or real-time systems.
Knowledge of Docker and containerized test environments.
Exposure to BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow.
