About the Role
We are looking for a visionary and technically rigorous Software Architect to define and govern the software architecture across our product suite. You will be responsible for making high-impact design decisions, establishing architecture standards, and ensuring that our systems are scalable, maintainable, secure, and aligned with long-term business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture Design — Define and own the software architecture across multiple products and platforms, ensuring alignment with business goals, scalability requirements, and engineering best practices.
Technical Standards — Establish and govern architectural patterns, coding standards, design principles, and technology choices across engineering teams.
Solution Design — Lead the design of complex software solutions, producing architecture documentation, decision records (ADRs), and technical specifications.
Technology Evaluation — Evaluate and recommend new technologies, frameworks, and platforms; lead proof-of-concept work and feasibility assessments.
Cross-team Collaboration— Work closely with Development Managers, Solutions Architects, Product Owners, and DevOps teams to ensure architecture is embedded into delivery from the outset.
Technical Debt Management — Identify, prioritize, and drive resolution of technical debt across the codebase; balance pragmatic delivery with long-term maintainability.
Mentorship — Mentor senior engineers and technical leads; promote architectural thinking and engineering excellence across the organization.
Qualifications & Experience
8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in an architect or principal engineer role
Deep expertise in software architecture patterns (microservices, event-driven, domain-driven design, CQRS, etc.)
Strong command of back-end languages and frameworks (Java, .NET, Node.js, Python, or Go)
Extensive experience designing distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-native architectures (AWS or Azure)
Proficiency in data architecture including relational and non-relational databases, caching, and messaging systems
Excellent ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
Experience driving architecture governance and technical decision-making across multiple teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in iGaming, fintech, or high-throughput consumer platforms
Familiarity with security architecture, PCI DSS, or compliance-driven design
Relevant certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect, TOGAF)
