About the Role
We are looking for a front-end developer who combines strong engineering skills with a deep understanding of technical SEO. You will build and maintain high-performance, accessible, and search-engine-friendly web experiences, working closely with SEO and marketing teams to ensure that every line of code contributes to organic visibility and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
SEO-Friendly Development — Build and maintain web pages and components with SEO best practices embedded from the ground up — including semantic HTML, metadata, structured data, and canonicalisation.
Performance Optimisation — Optimise front-end performance for Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, FID/INP), lazy loading, image optimisation, and render-blocking resource management.
Rendering & Crawlability — Ensure JavaScript-rendered content is properly crawlable and indexable; manage SSR, SSG, and hydration considerations in collaboration with the SEO team.
Component Development — Design and build reusable, accessible UI components in line with design systems and brand guidelines.
SEO Collaboration — Act as the primary technical bridge between the SEO team and engineering, translating SEO requirements into precise, testable development tasks.
A/B & Experimentation — Support front-end implementation of A/B tests and SEO experiments using feature flags or testing frameworks.
Code Quality — Write clean, maintainable code; participate in code reviews and maintain high engineering standards.
Qualifications & Experience
3+ years of front-end development experience with a strong SEO awareness
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+); experience with React, Next.js, or Vue.js
Solid understanding of technical SEO concepts: crawlability, indexability, structured data, Core Web Vitals, hreflang
Experience with server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG) and their SEO implications
Familiarity with Google Search Console, Lighthouse, and PageSpeed Insights
Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and their overlap with SEO
Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working within large-scale, multi-language web projects
Familiarity with schema markup, JSON-LD, and Open Graph implementation
Background in performance-first or SEO-led product teams
