Design, configure, and maintain application load balancing for high availability, traffic distribution, and performance; tune and troubleshoot issues for mission-critical applications.
Configure and support site-to-site and remote access VPNs (IPSec, SSL VPN), troubleshooting connectivity and ensuring secure remote access.
Leverage monitoring tools to track device health and performance, investigate incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
Deploy and manage security appliances and load balancers in public cloud environments (AWS, Azure), including cloud-based firewalls, WAFs, and VPNs.
Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for routine tasks, configuration backups, and reporting.
Maintain documentation for configurations, SOPs, and change logs; ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO, PCI, GDPR).
Collaborate with Security, Infrastructure, and Service Desk teams, providing escalation support and knowledge transfer.
Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans, and recommend process and technology improvements.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
At least 2 years' hands-on experience managing network security appliances, firewalls, and load balancers in enterprise or cloud environments.
Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper, Check Point) and load balancers (F5, Citrix ADC).
Solid understanding of IPS/IDS systems and their integration with network architectures.
Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure), including deployment and management of cloud-native security appliances.
Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, VLANs).
Experience with VPNs (IPSec, SSL VPN), access control, and secure remote access.
Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements (ISO, PCI, GDPR).
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Relevant certifications (PCNSE, Fortinet NSE, F5 Certified BIG-IP Admin, CCNA/CCNP Security, CompTIA Security+, or similar) are a plus.
Experience implementing Zero Trust, WAFs, and DDoS mitigation solutions is a plus.
Experience designing secure hybrid and multi-cloud networks is a plus.
